The Rehabilitation Network employs a team of Case Managers who can provide nationwide coverage comprising independent practitioners including Occupational Therapists, Chartered Occupational Psychologists, Physiotherapists and Psychotherapists.
Each Case Manager has experience within their own field of expertise and each has experience of working with a wide range of injuries and disabilities including traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, multiple orthopaedic injuries, amputation, soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries and psychological difficulties arising from trauma.
Each of our Case Managers are skilled in assessment of needs and in planning a rehabilitation package tailored to the needs of the individual, taking into account their social, domestic, and psychosocial needs as well as their medical needs. Rehabilitation programmes are tailored to each person and as Case Management commences they will liaise with other agencies and healthcare providers, both private and statutory services, constantly monitoring progress, regularly reviewing and adapting the rehabilitation plan to the changing needs of the injured or disabled person.
When the time comes to consider returning to work, where injuries / disabilities allow, our Case Managers will begin a period of Vocational Rehabilitation exploring a return to previous employment, or alternative employment, dependent on individual need and capability.
Our Case Managers provide a key role in coordinating rehabilitation, both medical and vocational, and assist injured / disabled people to navigate their way through the system, providing support, guidance, and practical help with the numerous stages of rehabilitation. They can even provide help with benefits applications whilst recovering.
